MUSKOGEE, Okla. — A Muskogee woman has been charged with felony child neglect after officials said she exposed her twin girls to methamphetamine and marijuana, which caused her to go into premature labor.
According to court documents, Sarah Sinwelski, 38, left the hospital after giving birth, and failed to return to care for the children.
The incident happened in January.
Court documents said the woman tested positive for multiple drugs while being pregnant with the twins.
A warrant for her arrest was issued on Feb. 7 and her next court appearance is set for Feb. 26.
The girls are still alive.
