Texas Senator Ted Cruz announced an idea on Tuesday to fund President Trump’s border wall.

According to CBS Austin, Cruz announced on Twitter that he thinks it’s time to pass the EL CHAPO Act. The act is to ensure that El Chapo pays for the wall.

The act, Ensuring Lawful Collection of Hidden Assets to Provide Order, would take money from Joaquin Guzman Loera and use the funds for “border security assets” and the completion of the border wall.

After Guzman was convicted on Tuesday, prosecutors are seeking $14 billion from “El Chapo” which is more than President Trump’s $5.7 billion for the border wall.
