Keep Waco Beautiful is starting 2019 with a new partnership with Living Earth, a company that recently moved to town.
Living Earth is a supplier of mulch, sand and gravel. It also offers green waste recycling.
Ashley Millerd is the executive director for Keep Waco Beautiful. She said the company has already been extremely helpful with their mission.
"It's been a while since we've had new partnerships roll in for Keep Waco Beautiful," Millerd said. "So that is one of my biggest goals to really reach out to everyone, especially businesses like this and saying 'look we're here, look at what we're doing, let's work together.'"
Millerd said the company donated two truckloads of mulch during their MLK Day of Service in January. That mulch was laid out across outdoor classrooms throughout the city.
Millerd said with this company's help, they can bring back their Compost and Mulch Sale, a popular event that hasn't gone on for the last two years due to funding.
