A Killeen mother confessed to police that she intentionally injured her 7-week-old baby.
The baby was brought to McLane Children's Hospital on Feb. 5 with 31 fractures and injuries indicative of child abuse, according to the arrest affidavit.
A nurse at the hospital contacted police about the infant's injuries.
The affidavit said the infant's mother LeeEllen Rios, admitted to Killeen officers to squeezing the baby boy tight against her chest and pulling him by the arms and legs forcefully, placing her body weight on his legs and arms.
She told officers no one else hurt the boy and that she needed help.
Rios was arrested for injury to a child with serious bodily injury, intentional on Feb. 9 and booked into Bell County Jail on a $200,000 bond.
