New USPS stamps pay tribute to military working dogs

Posted

The United States Postal Service has released a slew of new stamps for 2019, one of which pays tribute to U.S. military working dogs.

Each stamp features one of four breeds that commonly serve in America's armed forces - German shepherd, Labrador retriever, Belgian Malinois and the Dutch shepherd.

The stamps are colored red, white, blue and gold to symbolize the American flag and patriotism.

Other new stamps include a star ribbon, tennis champion Maureen Connolly Brinker, artist Ellsworth Kelly and the 150th anniversary of the completion of the transcontinental railroad.
