Cultivate 7twelve brought a new display that showed a different side of Waco's history.

They are photographs from Fred Gildersleeve who was an American photographer who settled in Waco in the early 1900s. Gildersleeve was known for his aerial and panoramic photos.

Many of his Waco pictures are on display at the gallery. The staff sees this as an important way to share the history of the community.

"It's important historically to have these images here, especially because they were taken before the tornado, before the town was destroyed, to really put into play the importance of the history of Waco," said Julia Harmon, Assistant Retail Manager at Cultivate 7Twelve.

The portraits will be permanently displayed and free for all to see.
