LAFAYETTE — A dispatcher with the Lafayette Police Department took a 911 call that many young students would define as an emergency - math homework help.
The police department tweeted out a video with audio of a 911 call that a young boy made for homework help. Instead of turning the boy away, this Lafayette dispatcher stayed on the phone to help him.
You can listen to the whole encounter in the Lafayette Police Department's tweet below.
Our dispatchers never know what the next call might be.They train for many emergency situations, homework help is not one they plan for. We don't recommend 911 for homework help but this dispatcher helped a young boy out and brightened his day.@PoliceOne @apbweb @wlfi @WTHRcom pic.twitter.com/w3qCYfJP7O
