A nonprofit in Central Texas that works to help homeless women is asking for your support.
Take Heart Ministries helps to improve and restore hope to homeless women, providing them with female hygiene products they might not otherwise be able to access them.
The group plans to fill 75 to 100 bags with pads, tampons, granola bars and wipes at Project Homeless Connect on Jan. 29 from 9 a.m. to noon.
The organization is hoping to collect more tampons, granola bars and wipes.
"It's a small thing when they get that small bag, somebody really thought about a very intimate need. I hope it makes them feel seen and valued," Founder Pam McKown said.
You can donate online to help the group purchase those products. If you would like to donate shampoos, lotions and makeup, you can contact McKown, at 254-717-0563 or Pam@takeheartministry.org.
