Dozens of children headed to The Art Place in Belton for a night of wizard-themed crafts. Wearing capes and wizard hats, budding artists crafted clay wands, board art and mixed media painting.
"It’s just fun to make fake things and make them kind of real," said Graham Lane, a young artist.
Owners of the art studio say this is an opportunity to spark imagination through art.
"Kids that love to read and also love to see the books come to life they can do artwork that represents that. And spend time doing some things that they never have done before," said Michelle Weaver, owner of That Art Place
The event was sold out. Organizers say this event may pop up again in the near future.
