Fresh off a doubleheader sweep Saturday where the Baylor women’s tennis team took 5-2 wins over both UTRGV and New Mexico, the Bears (2-1) return to action at the Hawkins Indoor Tennis Facility Monday with Rice at 2 p.m. and Prairie View A&M at 6 p.m.
Rice enters the contest at 1-0 after a 6-1 win over Lamar Friday. The Owls and Bears have a storied history and Monday will mark 29th time the two schools have met. Baylor holds the edge with a 15-13 series lead, but the Bears are winners of the last 13 contests.
Prairie View A&M enters Saturday with an 0-1 record after falling to Sam Houston State Saturday, 7-0. The Bears hold a 6-0 all-time lead over the Panthers and all the meetings have come in BU head coach Joey Scrivano’s era.
