1.6M gallons of wastewater overflows in Waco

The City of Waco said 1.6 million gallons over domestic wastewater has overflowed this week due to substantial rainfall in Central Texas.

Crews are working to clean up, mitigate and disinfect areas where the overflow has stopped. Crews will be monitoring areas where the overflow is still occurring.

The city has notified the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality of the wastewater overflows.

The water overflowed in the following areas:

  • 1000 Trice Ave.
  • 1100 University Parks Dr.
  • 324 Jefferson Ave.
  • 400 University Parks Dr.
  • 1720 Maple Ave.
  • Flat Rock Road and Skeet Eason Road
  • 2636 Cedar Ridge Rd.
  • 3209 N. 23rd St.
  • Stewart Drive Easement
  • 5028 Ridgeview Dr.
  • 2300 Glendale Dr.
  • 3200 N. 19th St.
  • 1928 N. 12th St.
  • 810 N. 31st St.
  • 529 N. 36th St.
  • 916 N. Valley Mills Dr.
  • 4900 Erath Ave.
  • 1403 Wooded Acres Dr.
  • 1501 Wooded Acres Dr.
  • 5401 Bosque Ave.
