Bellmead police are investigating after a home invasion Saturday morning.
According to police, at 6:10 a.m., officers received a report of a home invasion in the 400 block of Utah Street.
A suspect described as 6-foot, slim build, wearing a dark colored hooded jacket with a bandana over his face entered the home through an unlocked door.
The victim was awakened by the noise of the suspect in her living room. The victim then went to the living room and found the suspect in there standing next to the television.
The suspect then told the victim to give him money and when she refused, he struck her in the head causing injury.
She then gave him money and the suspect left the home and fled the area on foot.
The victim was treated by first responders.
