Temple Fire and Rescue responded to a vacant house fire on Friday.
According to Temple Fire and Rescue, at 8:48 a.m. firefighters responded to a reported fire in the 800 block of North 6th Street. They arrived and observed flames and smoke coming from the rear of the house.
Firefighters searched the home and found no one inside. There was one room along with the attic that received smoke and fire damage. The rest of the home received smoke damage.
A dollar loss has not been calculated. The Fire Marshal’s Office is working to determine the cause of the fire in the vacant house.
The fire was under control at 9:16 a.m. and the last unit left the scene at 12:18 p.m.
There were no injuries.
