Drive to benefit Families in Crisis, Inc. set to begin

A new drive to benefit the Families in Crisis, Inc. begins Saturday in Killeen.

SWBC Mortgage and Land Exchange Tile are partnering to coordinate a toy and essential items list for those in need this holiday.  

There are currently 44 children living in the care of Families in Crisis, Inc.

There are a few collection boxes for new unwrapped toys as well as wishlist items throughout Killeen. They are located at Estancia West Model home, SWBC Mortgage and Land Exchange Title.

The drive will start Saturday and continue through Dec. 17.

There is a slew of items needed at Families in Crisis, Inc.

The items in most need:

  • Adult shower shoes
  • Ziplock bags
  • Aluminum foil
  • Cleaning products

Baby Items

  • Antibiotic diaper ointment
  • Diapers: size three, four, five and six
  • Children’s pull-ups
  • Infant clothing and socks
  • Pedialyte singles
  • Orajel
  • New baby bottles
  • Infant swings/walkers/bouncers

Personal care items

  • Full-size body and hand lotion
  • Deodorant
  • Ethnic hair care products
  • Shower gel
  • Liquid soap
  • Sanitary napkins and tampons
  • Full-size shampoo
  • Hairdryers
  • Curling irons

Clothing - All sizes needed

  • Jeans
  • Men’s dress shirts/pants
  • Shoes/boots
  • New sweat suits
  • New women’s and children’s underwear
