The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission appoints Maj. David Doggett to oversee the Arlington Regional Office.

Doggett succeeds Maj. Cathleen Cavazos, who will now oversee the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission Central Texas Enforcement office.

"We’re extremely pleased to have David in place at the Arlington office," said Robert Saenz, TABC Deputy Executive Director for Enforcement. "He’s been a member of the TABC family since 2001, and I’m confident his experience, skills, and professionalism will make him a true asset to our enforcement efforts in North Texas."

Doggett holds a Master Peace Officer License, Instructor Proficiency Certificate, and a Standardized Field Sobriety Testing Instructor certificate from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement.

He began his career in law enforcement as a Tarrant County Deputy Constable in 1995. He later joined the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission serving first in Corpus Christi then later at the agency’s Dallas and Denton offices, where he was later promoted to Sergeant. He then moved to the Arlington Regional Enforcement Office, where he was promoted to Lieutenant in 2017.

The Arlington office covers North Texas and Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.
