Fifteen area churches gathered to serve a Thanksgiving lunch in East Waco on Thursday.

Those who attended the Thanksgiving King Feast received a meal while enjoying some live music.

During the event hosted by U Matter Ministries, folks also had the chance to get free hair cuts and clothes.

U Matter Ministries Founder Samantha Sanchez said they want to spread a message of kindness.

"No matter what walk of life you come from. No matter where they are today in their journey. We want to every person to understand and know and they matter to God," Sanchez said.

The feast has been held in Waco for six years.
