Reports: Tow truck driver killed in hit-and-run while helping stranded vehicle

A tow truck driver was killed while trying to help a stranded driver Tuesday morning in Fort Worth, according to NBCDFW.

They said that the 51-year-old man was helping a vehicle stuck on the shoulder on southbound I-35W near Sycamore School Rd. when he was hit by another vehicle.

CBS11 in Dallas reported that the vehicle that hit the tow truck driver left the scene. 

The driver of the tow truck was identified as Charles McGough of Arlington.

NCCDFW said no arrests have been made in the accident.

The person in the stranded vehicle was not hurt.
