A Waco organization is asking the help of community members to give them the ability to recycle more items.

Keep Waco Beautiful usually picks up appliances, tires and furniture that people are not using anymore ahead of scheduled community clean-up events.

Currently, the group is using a borrowed utility trailer from a group in Hewitt to take the items to the recycling center or stores that sell used items.

KWB Executive Director Ashley Miller hoped to raise up to $2,000 to buy their own trailer.

"Having a utility trailer is very helpful," Millerd said. "A lot of people request it< because they don't have the ability to get these things to the recycling centers because a lot of them are big appliances, deep freezers."

People can donate on the Keep Waco Beautiful website from now until Wednesday Nov. 28th.

The next district clean up is Feb. 8.
