The suspect who was at large after a shooting in Killeen turned himself into police on Friday.
According to Killeen police, 22-year-old Damani Bisio turned himself into Killeen police on Friday. He was taken into custody and Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke arraigned Bisio.
At approximately 1:02 p.m. on Nov. 16, officers were dispatched to the 4600 block of Windcrest Drive in reference to a 911 call about a shooting.
When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Baylor Scott & White in an unknown condition.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the victim and suspect were in a verbal altercation when the suspect displayed a weapon and shot the victim.
Due to the incident, Shoemaker High School was placed on a lockdown as a precaution. At 2:35 p.m., the lockdown was lifted and there was no immediate threat to the campus or community.
Bisio was transported to the Bell County Jail. His bond is set at $500,000.
