Belton ISD is introducing a new anti-bullying app for students.

Belton ISD has begun using the new Anonymous Alerts Mobile Reporting system to give students a new way to report bullying and any other situations that could be dangerous to school administrators.

The Anonymous Alerts app gives students the choice to report situations anonymously and do so right from their school-issued iPads.

Administrators at South Belton Middle School said the new app has allowed more students to speak up and improve school safety.

“This gives those students who didn’t feel comfortable coming in to report it in person the ability to report it anonymously. So, we have had some that I'm pretty sure would not have been reported if they didn’t have the ability to do it anonymously,”  said Kevin Taylor, Principal of South Belton Middle School.

Parents also have access to the Anonymous Alerts app and students are able to download the app to their cell phones with their parent's permission.
