According to the Anxiety and Depression Association of America, it takes just five minutes of exercise to start relieving stress and anxiety.
For National Stress Awareness Day, Gold's Gym in Waco is doing its part to improve physical and mental health by offering free workouts and classes all day.
No membership is required, you just check in at the front desk before you get started.
There are also personal trainers on hand who can guide you through your workout.
Megan Waits is one of those trainers. Waits said the sooner you prioritize your workout, the sooner you'll see the results you're looking for.
"You find time for what's important to you," said Waits. "Even if it's just 15, 30 minutes out of your day, that's really all it takes. You don't have to dedicate hours upon hours, every little bit makes a difference."
