The Waco Police Department said a man was arrested for threatening to rape two young girls at the H-E-B on Valley Mills Dr. on Oct. 25.
Police said the man, Jake Marker, is a registered sex offender.
Witnesses told police the man was trying to get into cars at the grocery store, and he approached a woman pumping gas. The woman had her two children in her car, ages 12 and 13.
He tried to get into her vehicle by punching the window, and the mother stopped him. He then proceeded to tell the mother he wanted to have sex with her daughters.
Police said he pointed at one of the girls and said, "I really want to (expletive) her."
The man told the mother her daughters "belonged" to him. The arrest affidavit said Marker was staring at the girls while licking himself.
Officers received a call about the incident and interviewed Marker when they arrived on scene. After interviewing witnesses and the victims, police brought Marker in for a psychological evaluation.
During this time, they realized he was a registered sex offender. A warrant was issued for his arrest, and he was booked into jail on a terroristic threat charge on Monday.
He is being held on a $1,000 bond.
