The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women’s soccer team will open postseason play in the 2018 American Southwest Conference Women’s Soccer Championship Tournament on Tuesday, October 30th.

UMHB earned the No. 3 seed and right to host a quarterfinal match. The Cru will open tournament play on Tuesday in a 5 p.m. match against Concordia University Texas at the UMHB Soccer Fields. Hardin-Simmons University earned the No. 1 seed and right to host the semifinal and final rounds of the tournament. Quarterfinal winners will advance to semifinal play on Friday, November 2nd with the championship match scheduled for Sunday, November 4th.

Head Coach Barry Elkins is confident heading into tournament play after making it to the final match a season ago.

“We took a couple of losses in conference this year so we feel like we have something to prove going into the tournament this time,” Elkins said. “We have individuals that are ready to perform and a team that has something to prove. I am excited to see how far we can go.”
