A man was sentenced to life in prison for each of the five counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child on Wednesday.
According to McLennan County District Attorney Abel Reyna, Bryan Brooks was sentenced to life in prison by a jury in the 54th District Court of McLennan County.
Due to the age of the victim, these life sentences must be served day for day without the possibility of parole.
"We are so proud of this survivor and the bravery she has shown throughout her young life. We are thankful that the jury heard her and made a statement with their verdicts that will keep this child and many other children in our community safe for years to come," Assistant District Attorneys Sydney Tuggle and Hilary LaBorde said.
Brooks was also accessed the maximum sentence of 20 years in TDJC for each of the two counts of indecency with a child by contact.
