The Cameron Police Department and the Bell County Sheriff's Office has arrested a man wanted for an aggravated robbery and shooting that happened in September. Atorious Williams was arrested on Oct. 1

Atorious Williams, also known as "Lil Man", is 21-years-old and from Temple.

Police said that on Sept. 13, police were called to the scene of a shooting in the 1600 block of N. Crockett in Cameron. 28-year-old Keelon Williams was found shot in the head.

Police said the shooting was the result of a drug deal gone bad. Keelon was transported to the hospital in critical condition. He was released.

Witnesses told police that James Whitfield and Atorious traveled to Cameron to meet Keelon. During the meeting, Atorious shot Keelon in the face and stole items from him. Whitfield and Atorious fled the scene.

The Cameron Police Department, U.S. Marshals, Texas Rangers, The Bell County Sheriff’s Department and Temple Police Department worked together to investigate the incident.

On Sept. 21, a felony warrant was obtained for Atorious and Whitfield.

Whitfield was arrested on Oct. 26.

He is currently being held at the Milam County Jail.
