Some Michigan residents will have to work 20 hours a week or they will no longer be eligible for food stamps, according to WTHR.
Officials said that "able-bodied adults 18 to 49-year-olds without dependents will have to work at least 20 hours a week or lose their benefits."
Residents can fill the requirement with employment, job training or community service through state-approved non-profit organizations. Residents have three months to find work.
