A plane en route to Waco made an emergency landing at an Addison airport Sunday morning.
The FAA reported that a single-engine Cirrus SR22 was reporting engine and instrument problems and was trying to return to Addison Municipal Airport.
The aircraft had departed from the airport and was having issues with its equipment. The pilot declared an emergency and attempted to land at Addison when he told air traffic controllers that the aircraft would not be able to make it on the runway.
The FAA said that the pilot deployed its emergency parachute and came to a rest in a field.
The two people onboard the plane were not injured.
