An 80-year-old woman was arrested and charged with injury to a child after police say she threw a child onto the hardwood floor.

Robinson police said the incident happened on Aug. 8 at the licensed daycare of Glenda Hammons. Police said that Hammons was accused of injuring a twenty-one-month-old at the daycare, lifting the child by his arms and tossing him onto the floor.

The incident was recorded by another child who was in Hammons' care.

The video allegedly captured the suspect repeatedly lifting the child, shaking the child and setting them down.

Hammons was taken to the McLennan County Jail and charged with injury to a child. Hammons bonded out of jail Wednesday night.
