One man has been arrested after he was caught burglarizing vehicles in the Waco area over the weekend.

Waco police said they received a call about a burglary of a motor vehicle in progress around 8:20 a.m. on Aug. 26. When officers arrived, they saw a man trying to run from the area.

Police set up a perimeter and were able to catch the suspect, identified as Bradley Golden.

Police said Golden broke into six vehicles in the area.

Golden was taken to the hospital for medical treatment because he injured himself while running from police.

After the treatment, he was taken to the McLennan County Jail on six charges of burglary of a motor vehicle, evading arrest and an outstanding parole violation warrant. On Monday, he was still in jail. His bond has been set at $38,000.

Police said the stolen property was returned to the owners.
