A woman was arrested and charged on Tuesday after police say she threatened her husband with a gun on June 19.
According to the affidavit, the victim was trying to help his wife, Tanya Coffman, get help for her substance abuse. He escorted her to a game room in Elm Mott and they got into an argument after the victim told Coffman he wanted to help her.
Coffman went in and spoke with a man that the victim did not approve of at the game room. The victim tried to get Coffman into his vehicle to leave, and she said she had to gas some narcotics. He told her to leave that stuff alone and tried to get her into his vehicle.
The victim said Coffman pushed him and pulled a gun out of the front of her pants area telling him she needed to gas narcotics, according to the affidavit.
The victim said she pointed the gun at his face and he was afraid she was going to shoot him. He left the area quickly.
Coffman was arrested and charged with aggravated assault family violence with a deadly weapon on Tuesday.
She is being held at the McLennan County Jail. Her bond is set at $53,000.
