A fundraiser has been started to help a Lampasas County deputy pay some medical costs.

Deputy Mae Watson was diagnosed with Stage Four cancer in her throat and sinus cavities. After receiving news that she was in remission, she was diagnosed with stage four liver cancer, which spread.

The Lampasas County Sheriff's Office created the fundraiser to help Watson and her husband with medical bills.

Anyone interested in donating can make a donation to the medical cost account in her name (Deputy Watson) that has been set up at First Texas Bank located on 501 E. Third Street in Lampasas.

Checks made are asked to be made payable to "Ethel Mae Watson."
