Students looking to transfer from Temple College to the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor will now have an easier way of doing so.
On Monday, both schools signed an agreement that will make it easier for students to transfer to UMHB from Temple College.
Both schools will offer courses that apply to degree plans at both locations, making transferring a seamless process. School officials said having official agreements like this, boosts the student's chance of success.
"Academic leaders at both of our institutions have worked together to evaluate those core courses at both institutions. So now, students know if they take this particular course at Temple College, it will transfer to Mary Hardin-Baylor," President of UMHB Randy O'Rear said.
UMHB university officials said they are working on similar agreements with other local colleges such as Central Texas College in Killeen.
