Waco-based Balcones Distilling is now the official Texas-whisky provider of the $250 million world-class dining, entertainment and hospitality district opening August 9 in the Arlington Entertainment District.
“We are thrilled to partner our distillery with Texas Live!, where we believe our award-winning whiskies will complement a world-class experience for patrons,” said Jared Himstedt, Head Distiller, Balcones Distilling. “As one of the original grain to glass whisky makers in Texas, we look forward to sharing our distilled-in-Texas story with fans and visitors from around the world.”
Balcones Distilling began in Waco in 2009 and has received worldwide recognition while remaining true to its Texas roots.
Guests of Texas Live! who are 21+ years of age will be able to enjoy Balcones whisky and whisky-inspired craft cocktails at multiple venues district-wide, as well as at a signature Balcones bar and patio on an elevated space overlooking Arlington Backyard.
“With Balcones Distilling as our partners as the official Texas-whisky provider of Texas Live!, guests will get a true, authentic taste of Texas-whisky throughout the entire district, as well as an elevated experience at the Balcones signature bar,” said Jim Watry, Chief Operating Officer, Texas Live!. “We are proud to partner with Balcones Distilling to provide a special, Texas-based brand for our local guests and out of town visitors to enjoy.”
Texas Live! is creating over 3,000 new jobs for the City of Arlington and Tarrant County including 2,000 new construction jobs and over 1,000 new permanent jobs.
