A man was arrested after police responded to a call of shots fired on Monday.

According to Waco Police, the female victim and Andre Tyron Kelley got into an argument. Kelley then assaulted her by strangling her and forcing her and their 1-year-old child to stay inside a back room of the house.

Kelley also fired a gun into a wall several times.

When Waco Police arrived, the female victim and her child opened the door. Kelley came out of the house but was not cooperating with police. He kept grabbing at his waistband and police tased him. They recovered a hand gun at the scene, according to Waco Police.

Kelly was charged with unlawful possession of a fire arm by a felon, unlawful aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, unlawful restraint and unlawful assault by strangulation.

He was booked into McLennan County Jail. His bond is set at $110,000.
