A man has been arrested after leading McLennan County deputies on a chase into Bell County on Thursday morning.
The McLennan County Sheriff's Office said deputies tried to make a traffic stop around 4:30 a.m. when the man fled into Bell County.
He was eventually stopped after Temple police used a spike strip.
The driver, identified as 51-year-old Kenneth Rector, was then arrested by Bell County deputies.
He was also found with a half-pound of marijuana in his car.
Rector is in the Bell County Jail waiting to be transferred to the McLennan County Jail.
