Friends of the 19-year-old man who drowned at Twin Bridges Park on Monday afternoon are hosting a balloon release on June 3 to honor him.
The balloon release will be held at Connally High School at 7:30 p.m. According to a Facebook post, friends who attend will be writing messages, telling stories and releasing purple balloons in honor of Christopher Sharp.
Sharp was also involved in the Connally High School Air Force JROTC unit 935. According to the fan club Facebook page, they said Sharp was a kind, loving, respected and much loved young man who will truly be missed by everyone.
Sharp's memorial services will be held on Friday, June 1st at 2 p.m. at the Connect Church in Bellmead.
