DPS identifies woman who died after car crashed into bridge, caught fire

The Texas Department of Public Safety has released the name of the woman who was killed after her car crashed into a bridge and caught on fire on Tuesday morning. 

The woman was identified as 76-year-old Katherine Holley, of La Vernia, Texas.

DPS said the car was driving on the wrong side of the road on Highway 6 near McLaughlin Road when her car crashed into a barrier and caught fire. Holley was pronounced dead at the scene.

The fire was put out by Speegleville Fire Department by 5:30 a.m.
