A Waco man has been arrested for aggravated sexual assault of a child after the victim made an outcry to a family member, Waco police said.
The victim, who is younger than 10 years old, told the family member in March of 2018 that the last year he was sexually assaulted by Jimmy Loyd McCollaum, who also showed the child pornographic material.
When the family member told police, they investigated and McCollaum was arrested by the U.S. Marshal Task Force, police said.
Police said McCollaum is a known acquaintance of the victim.
He was booked into McLennan County Jail on April 18 on charges of aggravated sexual assault and indecency of a child. McCollaum's bond has been set at $60,000.
