UMHB defeated Saint Thomas at crusader stadium Saturday.
The Cru’s defense had a fast start holding the Tommies to back-to-back three and it’s before the offense could get going.
UMHB missed a field goal early before getting into the end zone, but after that, the Purple and Gold were plagued by turnovers.
St. Thomas turned two interceptions into 10 points before the Cru responded with a field goal of their own.
The second half saw the Cru defense and special teams make huge inroads.
A punt return touchdown gave the Purple and Gold the lead and the very next series an interception return for a touchdown put a nail in the coffin for St. Thomas.
UMHB defeats the Tommies 24 to 10 and advance to the national semifinals.
