Crawford's volleyball team defeated Iola three sets to none to claim the 2A state championship.

Iola was coming into the game hoping for their third championship in a row. For Crawford, this was their first ever shot at the crown.

Anne Williams and Morgan Claxton paced the Lady Pirates offensively with 14 and 11 kills a piece.

Officials named Haley Vaughn MVP of the match. Vaughn had 36 assists to set up Crawford's first ever volleyball title.

The last time a team from central Texas won a state crown was Midway back in 2007.
