An 18-wheeler carrying tires caught on fire on I-35 near Georgetown on Friday.
The Georgetown Fire Department was working to put the fire out, causing lane closures and heavy traffic. As of 9 a.m., southbound I-35 is down to one lane from Highway 195 to Williams Drive. Previously, police closed all lanes.
The driver was able to escape unharmed, police said.
