A family of five has been displaced after their home was destroyed by fire on Tuesday morning.
The Waco Fire Department said the family, two adults and three children, were able to safely escape the fire after one of the adults noticed smoke and called 911 around 7 a.m. The status of the family's pet dog is unknown.
The house, located at 511 Clifton St., was deemed a total loss and the cause of the fire is unknown.
The fire department is working to contact the Red Cross to assist the family.
