A 13-year-old girl was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after she was involved in a hit-and-run on Wednesday night.
The accident happened in the 3600 block of Welborn Road in Bryan when a 2006 Toyota Tundra hit the girl as she was crossing the road with her 10-year-old brother. Police said the 10-year-old boy was not injured.
With the help of witnesses, officers were able to locate the driver, 29-year-old Elmer Gonzales-Turcios. He was arrested for failing to stop and render aid.
Police said the girl is in stable condition.
