Baylor's Kraus Wins Consolation Singles Title

Baylor women’s tennis freshman Livia Kraus played her way to the top of the singles consolation bracket at the ITA Texas Regional Championship Presented by Oracle, compiling a 4-1 mark over five days at Friedman Tennis Center.

To claim her title, Kraus fought through a lengthy battle with Savannah Durkin from Rice to record the win, 6-1, 3-6, 7-6 (10-8).

It is the first title of her collegiate career and the second this season for Baylor. Kraus joins senior Theresa Van Zyl, who claimed the H-E-B Invitational singles crown on Oct. 8 in Waco.
