Baylor women’s tennis freshman Livia Kraus advanced to the consolation singles final of the ITA Texas Regional Championship Presented by Oracle with another victory on Monday.
The Nieder-Olm, Germany, native bested Matea Zemunik of Incarnate Word, 6-1, 6-1, in the semifinal. Through four days of the tournament, Kraus has compiled a 3-1 record. She is scheduled to meet Savannah Durkin at 10 a.m. (CT) on Tuesday at Friedman Tennis Center.
Kraus and sophomore Jessica Hinojosa battled to stay alive in the consolation doubles bracket, but ultimately fell in a tight match, 8-7(4), to Lana Rush and Alex Valenstein of Texas Tech.
Kraus is scheduled to play at 10 a.m. (CT) on Tuesday in the consolation singles final of the ITA Texas Regional Championship Presented by Oracle.
