A woman from San Antonio was struck and killed by a train when she was passed out on the tracks on Oct. 8.

The 23-year-old mother of two Sierra Barber was celebrating her boyfriend’s birthday at a nearby bar before she was killed around 5:30 a.m., according to the San Antonio Express-News.

Barber’s boyfriend, Isaac Perez, said due to her level of intoxication, he had to make sure she was able to sit up without falling backward around 2:30 a.m. Shortly after he got into a fight with someone and later woke up in the hospital, he told

Perez said he was told by authorities that Barber had refused service when paramedics responded to the bar.
