Kickoff time for Baylor football’s season opener announced

The Matt Rhule era with Baylor Football will begin in front of a nationally-televised audience when the Bears open the 2017 season at 6 p.m. CT on FS2 against Liberty at McLane Stadium.

Start times and television coverage was previously announced for Baylor’s two other non-conference games including the September 9 home game with UTSA at 7 p.m. CT on FSN and the trip to Duke on September 16 set for 11:30 a.m. CT on ACC Regional Sports Networks.

Additionally, Baylor’s road game at TCU scheduled for Friday, November 24 was announced for 11 a.m. and it will be broadcast nationally by FS1.

Kickoff times and television details for the remaining eight regular-season games will be announced during the season.

The season-opening matchup will be the first-ever meeting between Baylor and Liberty.

Rhule took the helm of the Baylor program following a successful four-year stint as head coach at Temple including back-to-back 10-win seasons and the 2016 American Athletic Conference championship.
