Children from kindergarten to 5th grade are participating in a theater camp at the Jubilee Theater this week.
At the Up and Up and Away Camp, the 20 children enrolled will put a play together that includes superheroes and villains.
They are expected to learn costuming, script writing and lighting for plays.
"I think the best thing is that it gives kids a chance to express themselves. Children have such a big imagination and this gives them a place to channel that and get some of their energy out and give them a chance to be themselves," Jubilee Theater's Children's Artistic Director Afton Foreman said.
The kids are expected to perform their play on Saturday.
There will be a youth theater camp for children in 6th to 10 grade next week where they will focus on poetry.
