Highlanders’ Venter earns conference honor

McLennan Baseball’s Brendan Venter has been named the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference (NTJCAC) Player of the Week for April 2-8. The sophomore third baseman from Flower Mound had an outstanding week in the Highlanders’ victory over Wharton and the series sweep against Weatherford. He had a .578 batting average for the week with two doubles, one triple, and four home runs with 11 RBIs and seven runs scored.
