After a rare midweek free of competition, the Lady Bears (32-6, 5-1 Big 12) return to action, hosting Iowa State (15-24, 0-6 Big 12) for a three-game weekend set, kicking off on Friday evening at 6:30 p.m. at Getterman Stadium.
All three games in the weekend series will be televised on the FOX Sports family of networks, with John Morris and Jil Price on the call for games one and two and Kaitlin Thumann joining Morris for game three.
Baylor has won all three of its three-game series in 2017, going 2-1 in series at UCF and at Kansas, and adding a sweep of Texas Tech last weekend.
BU has won 14 of the last 15 meetings with Iowa State, with its last loss to the Cyclones coming on April 25, 2015 in Waco.
Since the three-game Big 12 series format started in 2012, the Lady Bears have never lost a series to the Cyclones and have gone 14-1 over that stretch.
Baylor has won five-straight Big 12 series, with its last series loss in conference play coming in 2016 to Oklahoma in Waco.
Baylor senior pitcher Kelsee Selman has appeared in all six of Baylor’s Big 12 games, with the Lady Bears going 4-0 in games that she has started. BU is 14-2 in Selman’s 16 starts in 2017.
